definately feeling the drums
Sweet. Let me know if this one gets any play. I'd really like to hear a DJ use this one. It's very untypical, so probably wont be too popular with the dnb heads. Also hence why I'd like to see it in a mix![]()
In retrospect, listening to it again, I wish I had left a bit more air for the ambience to breath in cause it gets a bit stifled. Also the gabber kick is a touch too ruff.
Production is coming along tho and I'm definately getting a bit better with every tune. Another year or so and I imagine everything will be sounding quite proper.
Holy crap. I thought people would like this. I guess it's a little bit too outside the box.
A bunch of people have said "well produced, but it's not my cup of tea, so no further comments"
great tune, really wanna be able to play it.. but i think the sequencing is off a bit, unless that's how it supposed to be. there seems to be an odd number of bars somewhere switching back and forth between the two parts. gotta wait till near the end of the tune to be able to mix something in without it starting to sound weird.
awesome tune though. check the programming and see if im just crazy, but i counted out the bars quite a few times and they just dont seem to add up.
OMG you're right! I can't believe that. Holy shit. I somehow managed to make this track totally unusable. All the dubstep heads better big this shit up for not conforming to any standards - there is a straight up a full count missing and the dood sitting here writing it didn't notice. You can tell I havn't really broken in my new CDJ yet eh? I always though that it didn't flow quite right through the first breakdown.... haha!!!
wow. Thanks so much Ian. I had to sit here for a while to see where the measure was missing from but yeah you're totally right. I can't believe that. I'll throw you a 320 when I can fix up that blip.
No worries man.. I know when you're working with so many damn bars in a tune it can get a bit confusing. Almost every producer I get tracks from messes up with the sequencing at least a few times lol.
But I do get a lot of tracks that are just like that.. they'll toss an extra 8 bar count before the drop, or something creative to trick djs. Makes mixing a lot more interesting. But with this one, you can tell it's meant to be on and then just isn't.
Track is dope though, which is why I wanted to give you the heads up. I wanna rinse this! Hectic drum line, feelin it.
Alright. I'll revisit it and hook you up proper soontime.
Thanks so much again bro! Fuck! I'm movin' to toronto in a couple weeks so I'll start hand delivering them.
