Easily one of the most anticipated battles ever. This just proves that battle rappers are a different breed. You cant expect a studio MC to step into the circle, even with the lyrical skills of canibus, and expect to keep up with someone like Dizaster.
That "I feel like im putting my own dog to sleep" was fucking deadly. Best thing that could have happened to KOTD.
The media attention this got has been huge. I predict an MTV show or something similar.
I was waiting for this one for a while, I really expected Canibus to put up a good fight, at least better then that, as a huge canibus fan that became tough to watch.
But ya this shit has become HUGE very quickly. An MTV show is probly really possible and doable.. The fact that this was available pay per view and the improvement in production quality says alot. I can watch this shit all day and find it really entertaining. Would love to go to one.

A sentiment often heard. That's not what this is about. The freedom of acapella style, not being tied down to a beat and having the ability to switch tempo and flows, coupled with the rawness of doing it with no mic is what adds to the overall appeal in my opinion.

As much as i enjoy good real-deal hip-hop, for some strange reason i never could get into battles. I can respect and understand talented artists opposed to non-talented artists but for some reason it always bored me. Perhaps it's the lack of tunes? I don't know but I still love Canibus even if he got his ass whooped or not(Didn't watch the entire thing).
Don't get the appeal of this set-up.
I expect some people are like: 'this is hip-hop distilled to it's purest essence!' but it seems like the opposite to me.
I think it speaks for itself so...if it's your thing I guess it's your thing.
