No offence but looking at the crowd that gathers for this "politically charged" event usually has the opposite affect of what the intention is.

Im genuinely sad that its cancelled as it seems to be a source of hurt for you. You're right about me though. I don't care one way of the other.

tbh i don't give a fuck, i think i only went 2 times, but it was fun and not sketchy at all imo.. the amount of hate it generates around here is kind of strange

It does indeed bring out a whole lotta trash (seems like half of Hamilton shows up for it), but it also brings out...a whole bunch of other people. The sheer diversity of people there was always interesting. Besides, how many other days in the year do you get to get to chill in the park freely smoking weed all day while surrounded by tens of thousands of other people doing the same? I wouldn't bother with it if it were every weekend, but its fun for one day a year.

In the end fun is all in who is having it. For me being around stoned teenagers isn't my cup of tea. But to each their own. I guess I am as cynical about this as you are about the new World Trade Centre.
