I dropped him at the time I didn't think his hot streak would last and because I thought I already have two 3B (Brett Lawrie and David Freese). Freese has been on fire too, so I wasn't about to pull him from Utility. Lawrie I drafted high and wasn't going to bench him for Edwin, Lawrie is bound to heat up. Edwin is also a 1B and my 1B is Billy Butler who had like 20HR/95RBI last year (and is on pace for the same right now), I wasn't going to bench him in favour of Edwin.
Having too many bats just becomes an issue of constantly going on hunches of when to bench and when to play. I benched Butler in favour of Luke Scott last week and Butler got 2 HR's. Having 3-4 guys in 2 available positions can be great, IF you have a crystal ball and know which day they will get a grand slam and which game he will go 0-4 with 3'ks and an error.
I noticed you were stacked on the corners, could have traded fairly easy I would've thought. Though I'm still burnt from the Reyes/Infante trade. You can blame Slobber.
Yeah I know know dude. I didn't think of that at the time, didnt think his value was high enough for that. People laughed at me during the draft when they saw Edwin was taken. Lesson learned.
Stanton, why the fuck would you have used your 3rd overall pick on a guy like that? I get the 34HR appeal, but 87 RBI isn't that great for an OF, especially when it comes with 166k's I took Billy Butler with my 11th pick - 122nd overall and he had 95 RBI's/19hr but only 95ks.
