I have no idea, I thought if a player was on Free Agent/Waivers you could add them, didnt know there was a bunch more rules to it.

"FA" means hes passed through waivers and you can pick him instantly.
"W" means hes on waivers and whoever has the highest priority will get that player on their team after the waiver period expires.
Look at the standings on the mainpage
see the column that says "waiver" - the numbers are who has top priority.
I picked last in the draft, and i havent picked up a "W" player yet so my priority is still #1.
Every time you claim a waiver player your priority drops down to #12.

when I'm handily winning my pitching categories by a Friday in the week, is there any benefit to me playing any of my starters? especially if a win for them is hardly guaranteed? ie. if my ERA/HR/L/WHIP/K/INNING/W are already at good levels, should I just sit everyone except for my closers?
I'm beating Bryan right now by 20 innings, 25k's, 3 wins, and have an absurdly low 1.7 era and 0.85whip. Do I risk fucking that all up by letting people like CJ Wilson start against the Orioles? or let all my relievers stay in the RP slots?
although it looks like many of his starters haven't gone through this week, so he could make up 20innings and 25k's over 3 days.
do I sit Jason Kubel and Lawrie because they K relatively a lot and I'm winning batter K's by only 2?

I'll leave my closers in (Motte and Chapman) because I only had a 2-0 lead on saves and I don't think they could fuck up my HR/ERA too much.
would you leave your most K prone batters on the bench if your RBI/R/HR stats were pretty much in the bag?
Kubel gave me 3HR and 9RBI in last 7 days, but he also K'd 12 times and 1E.
