Neimad said "silly tricks" not tracks, which his opinion on using the crossfader and a some effects... Some people are more into tracks that melt into each other where as I like the sound of a DJ cutting and adding emphasis... For my part, I love the criticism, especially since that was my 2nd gig using my new midi controller to play and I've far from mastered it... but I'm happy to be lumped along with Medicine Muffin if I was having a bit too much fun on the mixer

The point where I completely disagree with neimad is thrashing the MCs for the night. This sort of irrelevant judgement reveals a narrow minded perspective on the music. It's all good to dislike MCs in general, but you can't act that MCs with actual talent who can do the job properly can be disrespected for personal preference. Save your slander unless you maybe know the names involved and maybe ask your girl for some more history lessons...

Thanks for not taking too much offence as I was in anyway attacking u ! Listen bru I'm sure u know I'm new to Canada so i don't know the names of everyone ! Yes I'm not a fan of MCs but i can appreciate a decent one andy as I stated the first guy was the better of the lot and I could deal with him but the other two guys were just awful ! Do me a favour and record the vocals of all mcs and do urself a favour and listen to what they saying and u tell me if they hav talent ! Please I'm not saying there aren't MCs with no talent ! But i was listening in and it was mostly tripe ! If u looked around most of the time they spoke or asked for a shout no one replied but when he was quite people started dancing ! All I'm asking is look harder !

I've booked or played alongside Lucid, Enlight, and Nova a bunch of times and have kept recordings as well. One of the reasons I kept EQing the mic is because it is a bit difficult to control a mic in a hall style room with mirrors on the walls... That being said, I know and respect these MCs skills so let's sum it up to a difference of opinion. I happen to agree with Chase:

3 of my favorite mcs (enlight, nova, lucid) on the mic on one night was also a pleasure, as were their tasteful performances and the rigorous attention to mic level. for people that hate on mcs, it's these kind of performances that will make you think twice.

Lucid is one of the legend MC's in this city....very few can host an event as good as he does.

part of being a talented mc is getting the crowd excited and adding to the vibe

I think it's safe to say that all three mc's did exactly that, regardless of how anyone wants to dissect their performances

as for capro... I wish I could mix like him... yeah I'll say it lol

AND just for the record our headliner had only good things to say about the mc's, dj's, etc

not to sound all defensive, everyone has their opinion and that's fine

It's been my first night out in forever but as always Syncrous brought pure quality level (as well as Muffin). although I left early and didn't even get to see BMT, this jam made me realize how much I miss good jungle on systems.
