Obviously Bautista is a great OF with a cannon, so having him at 1B is a bit of a waste. But it would afford the team the chance to give Snider a chance without sacrificing Thames.

Jays just signed him.

Odd move by AA standards, but for $1.3 million, not a risky one. He will be going to Spring Training facility for a while, then up through the minors and then if all pans out, up to the Jays.

Vladdy can't field anymore to save his life, so I guess this means they are eyeing Edwin for 1B and maybe shipping Lind out.
