Every Baseball writer and journalist and 2012 preview I've read is saying that the Jays making the playoffs this year is a very real possibility and it wouldn't surprise anyone.

A lot of predictions are still calling for them to just miss the mark, but some of the people really closely following the team, who are not one to make grandiose predictions, are speculating that due to a variety of factors they think the Jays will get in, Richard Griffin of the Star (who follows the team more closely than any other journalist is one of them). He's been calling for 2012 to be the year something happens since back in 2009 when many of the prospects the team was filled with then are now filling up the roster today.
