ok i understand the torres selection; despite his poor showing for the past 2 years, he's delivered in big games for the NT before, well at least in the final against Germany. but even then, Euros was ALL Villa until the final, and WC Torres did fuck all.

i also understand his selection because villa isn't there. but to skip soldado, a guy who scored 27 goals in la liga this year is mind boggling. only ronaldo and messi scored more goals.

    negredo LOL

where are you seeing the chelsea deal being done, i only see the telegraph reporting and its really vague.

also - guardian with a pretty good write up on why carrick should have been selected for the england team with barry playing so poorly and then getting injured against norway.

I reckon he'll sign with United

    praying im wrong

l'equipe reported it will be chelsea yesterday

Belgian paper covering the national team also just reported that he's on his way to cobham for a medical:
    http://www.dhnet.be/sports/mercato/a...a-chelsea.html

Saha said he's joining chelsea as well.

This has happened so many times to Chelsea recently though... I'll honestly be surprised if he chooses us
