useful yes, but nothing close to impact CM england need at that level.

difference with rio and gerrard is that england dont have a CM anywhere near what gerrards brings to the table. Rio while still one of the top english defenders, there are still a lot of top english defenders you could bring in. Cahill/terry/cole is just such a natural selection because they work together every week.

Caught a few of the France games. They can certainly attack.
They did almost lose to Iceland though and don't look at all solid at the back.
