the russian league sasha, top of the russian league
it doesn't matter what league.
it's still all relative. it's not like our team stays the same quality when losing players relative to other teams strengths. we have a roster of an 8th team in the league at best at the moment.
but you're arguing that a 4 man bench is somehow feasible when it clearly isn't at all.
A guy walks into a bar and asks the bar tender "who won the russian football league this year?"
The bartender turns around and says "
.
what happens is that south american players will trace their lineage to whatever european country the cunt from which their great grandfather crawled out of was located and get a passport. failing that a player can play in a country for 5 years and become naturalized. so if a club buys a young african at 17, by the time he's 22 he qualifies as an EU player. it dilutes the intention of all these rules and thats how clubs have skirted around them.
and how has it worked out for them?
and after the implementation you have a team full of Brazilians, Argentinians and Africans. They're called Inter Milan.
Fifa has proposed the 6+5 rule years ago (where 6 players that a club starts must be eligible for the nation's national team), but it will never pass because it's against European labour laws. That rule would increase the amount of players a national team could pick. But simply having an EU player quota is just making the clubs jump through a hoop without any true impact on national teams.
How has it worked out for them....coincidently, after implementing it in 2003, Italy won the WC in 2006.
If you're better aware of what true impact it has on Italian players, you should be working for the Italian FA and lobbying on the rule removal, because you clearly know better.
Jer. I don't care what you think of the Russian league, but you already know that :P
The bottom line after all of this is that were still here and Wiz is in Mexico... thus he wins
yeah, but i'm stuck inside an air conditioned office Alfiya works at until 5pm, so it's a tie![]()
yes, coincidently. that's all it was.
If you are trying to link the italian national teams performance to their implementing a non-EU player limit in Serie A then statistically they have been performing increasingly worse (didn't win euro 08, knocked out @ the group stage @ the 2010 WC, their U-17 & U-20s team DNQ for this summers WC, and they didn't participate in U19 & U21 European tournaments).
Of course anyone with half a brain wouldn't link those results with their non-EU player rules, because as i have pointed out the 2 are unrelated.
