you should all look into reaper too. way better than audacity, only 3.5 MB, updated daily, and is free as well.

Looks pretty interesting.. definitely gonna check it out. But also looks a bit flashy for me. I like the simplicity of Audacity.

But this prog looks like it may be really cool for editing after the fact. Adding samples, effects, etc. That becomes a bit daunting with Audacity just because of how it's set up.

cosider it a really easy to use cubase.

full vst's, vsti, rewire... everything.

its simple as balls. to record, just click the "R" button next to the volume slider, and it records your mic in. super simple.

shouldn't affect anything cuz its just the main going to the speakers and record is a totally diff channel
