A – Aspect ‘It’s Yours’ (Aspect & Gremlinz VIP)
Most of the DNB scene heard Aspect’s name when hearing “It’s Yours”, a tune which originally came out as the flagship track for the Horizons Music Group. After being remixed by Kryptic Minds & Leon Switch as well as TC, Aspect revisits this nasty track with fellow HORSEMEN Gremlinz, ushering in Gremlinz’ new label, AUDIO DECAY, and what a door opener this is. The familiar sounds of the WU set the tone for this nasty ride, which sounds just as aggressive as you’d expect it to be. Hypnotic bass, hectic breaks and a big middle finger to whoever wants it, this VIP makes a statement: “go at it punk, and I’mma fuck you up!”
AA – Aspect - ‘Ruthless’ (Friske Remix)
“Ruthless”, a tune of Aspect’s that was featured on the latest HORSEMEN album, is reworked by the UK’s own Friske, and the ante is definitely upped. Very B-Boy, very brutal, with loads of crashing breaks in tow, Friske takes this anthem and breathes new life into an already phat track. The way he freaks the different sounds and effects brings another-worldly feel to the track, as if this was the soundtrack to a few starships duking it out over galaxies far, far away. A perfect flipside to the “It’s Yours VIP”, and a track you cannot deny nor sleep on.
