yep... cuz they had the best teams... man united couldnt beat porto... why would england be the best league?

Depending on your point of view, either EPL is the most competitive league with Liga as a close second or they are roughly equal. It would be hard to make the argument that there is a wide gap in terms of quality of teams and players, even if you include Serie A.
Just get over it guys, there is no best league. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses and depending on the form of the day, each has top teams that could compete well against each other.
*thumbs up*
blah, if the graph and official league rankings based on coefficients over the years weren't enough at the end, i don't know what would be enough.
let's just agree to disagree and instead put our bets on how the english teams will perform in CL in a few weeks.
my call - all go out to la liga/serie a clubs, except manchester united, who should put up a nice battle.
you see, there isn't any evidence to make you more right than me or vise versa.
we can only stack up facts based on top 8 in both leagues, and top 8 match up head to head any day.
the rest is all speculation. i mean, based on the point differences for 9th-20th teams in both leagues i've brought up as an argument, similarity doesn't change. but again, that's still a theory that has not been proven in practice.
take 2 of 15th spots today, as you say, and that's Blackpool or Hercules. You cannot say who will be victorious if applied a hockey best of 7 format. I say it goes 7 games.
having said that, Hercules did beat Barcelona, at Camp Nou 2-0 at the beginning of the season. The only loss Barca suffered this year. chew on that.
the difference is miniscule, and only is only really visible in the bottom 5, which is lowered by the fact that the top 2 are beyond strong. i never claimed that liga was more, just claimed that the difference between the two is very little, with liga obviously a few (insignificant) steps behind.
and you wonder why i have lost respect for you dude? you're a complete troll and a mouthy cunt. even your "humour" does not reflect the reality of the point i was trying to get at whatsoever. all you know is how to sound like a snotty asshole. too bad you'd never do that in person cuz you know i'd remove you from your current geo-location.
fuck off.
lol... the winner of the champions league final is hardly the winner of "one game of the entire year"
You have to finish near the top of your country's league table the previous year.. then go into a group stage where youre playing 3 teams twice each... then into 3 more elimination rounds with the top teams in the world. (all while still playing in your domestic leagues and cup competitions)
If you're telling me that the winner of the champions league isnt the best team in the world at that particular moment, then youre delusional.
And if you're the best team in the world, then you're the hardest team to beat... I absolutely think that Mourinho's Porto team was the best in the world when they won the CL...
When you are the hardest team to beat in the world.. the league you play in is the best one, because its harder than any other league to win.
interesting logic cory. not sure i agree but a different point of view, for sure
*edit - in depth, you aren't correct at all. from the surface, you've got something going on.
