Default Introdubtion (dnb to dubstep transition feat. Symbiant)

Symbiant came over a while ago and wrote down some ideas.
We got a little twisted (well REALLY FuCkInG whacked out actually) and couldn't really progress the idea. I just found out that i'll probably be thrown in the middle of a DNB night for my first dubstep jam, which is a littel intimidating. That crowd is all dnb heads, expecting a dnb show, but I REALLY want to play some dubstep. I've got some vinyl and a CDJ with some hot new loetech, DZ, and Bowzer tunes, as well as some never before heard dubs from yours truly.

I felt this was worth posting tho, as it's a creative solution. If I just hit the stop button on the TT and started playing dubstep people would go outside and smoke, but i figured if I could make a tune that brought everyone down slowly to tempo then I'd be safe. I'm a mediocre DJ but hopefully this improves the quality of the set and the flow of the night as I explore dubstep live for the first time.

The set will be june 2nd in peterborough. I might be opening but they're putting me higher up on the flyer which makes me think I'll be later in the night.

I'm moving to toronto june ~1st for anyone who cares to know.

Aw fuck they're making me open! and I did all that work too lol
Yeah dubstep in the middle of a dnb jam just seems like a bad idea. Maybe if everyone didn't hate on dubstep so much I might feel a bit more confident. Ah well. I'll get to play to a hyped up floor of 3 or 4 people.

Even my fucking crewmate was like "that's a chill dub but I won't be there if you're spinning that shit". That's the spirit! lol.

I've fixed up the track a bit more. Sounds way bigger. worked out some compression to draw up the air and mixed the bass a bit louder in the mix in proper dubstep fashion. I havn't uploaded the latest copy yet tho.

    Thanks for all the feedback.

I think its mostly internet hate. I swear ive showed up for gigs, booked to play dnb and have dropped dubstep sets at prime time and had a packed room moving...Ive never had people complain at dnb events...
