Toronto’s romance with drum and bass continues to intensify, and this EP from the inner city dance boys showcases our local talent on a global stage. Four cuts featuring Marcus Visionary, Artifice, Hungry T, Dcision RMS and Shots, all dancefloor stormers, all brilliant representations of this city.
Our choice cut, Hungry T’s massive tune Streetlights. A pressure filled expedition through the jungle, building tension at every turn with lush pads, sharp risers and beautiful vocal snippets. One of the best basslines we have heard all year, and already on heavy rotation.
And this seems to be the global consensus right now with all DJ’s, the Toronto boys are making waves, and inner city dance is at the forefront.
Artifice shows up like he just got back from Miami in 1986. A funk filled adventure aptly called “In pursuit”.
The whole EP is amazing, and we salute Lush and Marcus Visionary. Flawless execution and we hope this inspires many more volumes in the “In our city” series.
